Permanent Slitter Knife and Tooling Storage Cabinet

The proper storage and protection of slitter knives and other slitter tooling is essential to maximizing the life of the slitter knives. In addition, a well-protected and organized area for your slitter tooling and knives will save time in changing setups thereby increasing production output. Dienes offers custom-built permanent storage cabinets for your specific slitter tooling and knives. These storage cabinets provide individual slots and shelving for your inventory of slitter knives and tooling.

Vertical Slitter Knife Storage - protects against nicks and contamination; permits storage of the slitter knives and tooling as sets or separated by size and/or metallurgy.

Sliding Plexiglas Fronts - protects slitter knives and tooling from contaminants while allowing clear viewing of the slitter tooling.

Mobile Slitter Knife Boxes

Many times it is necessary to move your slitter knives and tooling from a central in-plant storage location to be sharpen or reground in-house. These slitter knife boxes can be strapped to a pallet if the tooling needs to be shipped out side of the plant. Dienes can provide a mobile slitter knife box to meet your specific slitter tooling needs.

Interior Surfaces Protect Your Slitter Knives - the interior is made from high-density polypropylene (HDPE) along with Masonite tempered hardboard dividers preventing nicking should the cutting edge of the slitter knife come in contact with these surfaces.

Rugged Steel Exterior - steel fork lift slots and pull points.

Heavy Duty Wheels - easy-rolling and maneuverable; locking wheels to provide stability when stationary.

Reusable Shipping and Storage Boxes

Dienes also provides a rugged reusable aluminum knife box ideally suited to ship or transport slitter knives, anvil rings, bottom (female) knives and spacers via carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or DHL. The boxes are designed to protect your slitter knives from damage during transport.

Aluminum Construction (except latch) - provides protection during shipment; lightweight to minimize shipping costs.

Insert With Post - this insert has a post that the slitter knives slide over to prevent excessive side-to-side movement during shipment or in-house transportation. The diameter of the post is designed to fit the customer's slitter knives or slitter tooling.

Standard Outside Dimensions - currently Dienes provide two standard sizes 10" L x 10" W x 7" H and 12" L x 12" W x 7" H. The post diameter varies according to the slitter tooling ID.
