Overview and Information

Dienes offers slitting seminars that cover the theoretical and practical aspects of slitting. Both shear slitting and crush-cutting theories are presented in a classroom type environment with attendee participation encouraged. Courses include troubleshooting for shear and crush cutting, and handouts are provided.

Either class may be presented by itself or together for those companies that utilize tooling from both methods.

The shear slitting class emphasizes the geometric relationships to obtain the proper set ups that produce the high quality slit edges and the best knife life.

Crush cutting subjects include analysis of metal-to-metal force vectors and relative blade material performance. Adhesive and razor slitting are also discussed.

Dienes can bring our Slitting Seminars to your facility for two presentations to cover multiple shift personnel. Public seminars are planned for 2002.
