Dienes Corporation of Spencer, MA now offers a slitter knife holder, the "Smart Holder", that will tell operators in advance that the top knife blade is approaching the end of it's useful operational life. During 90% of a predetermined period a "green" light will function. During the last 10% of productive knife operation a "yellow" light will illuminate. A "red" light signals that blade removal is required.

With the "Smart Holder", companies that require a maximum quality edge in slitting operations can supervise useful blade life. Downtime for blade changes and regrinding can now be scheduled with the Smart Holder.

Available on all Dienes knife holders, the "Blade Counter" can reduce the guessing and assist in maintaining maximum quality slits.
