Dienes Edge Trim Systems consist of carriage mounted pneumatic shear cut top knife holders and AC motor driven bottom knives mounted to heavy duty "C" frame modules via low profile linear bearing rails.

Once adjusted for proper top to bottom knife relationship, according to your application, the relationship remains fixed even if the desired trim width is changed.

The "C" frame modules can be mounted to your machine side frames via pre-drilled mounting holes or on optional freestanding floor mounts. Does not need additional cross beam support.

The carriage can be moved along the "C" frame manually or via stepper/servo motor driven ball screw.

• Model ETS-PSG-115-180 (180 mm ø top knife, 6250 fpm web speed)
• Model ETS-DF-145-180 (180 mm ø top knife, 9000 fpm web speed)

All models utilize 250 mm ø motor driven double edge D2 material bottom knife.

Carriage Module Features: (Figure 1)

• Left & right hand assemblies (right hand assembly shown)
• Heavy duty welded steel frame (premachined to accept optional field upgrades)
• 3 point linear bearing mounting
• Corrosion resistant coatings and materials for all exposed surfaces
• Top knife pneumatic controls with pressure gauge & regulator
• Trip strip width capacity up to 4 inches
• Trim guides for inline or diverted trim removal
• Arranged for front or rear web entrance
• Dienes integral mount motor synchronized to the line speed of the process equipment for automatic operation with manual override provision
• Motor mounted 250mmø double edge D2 material bottom knife (other materials optional)
• Choice of Dienes pneumatically actuated dovetail mounted top knife holders matched to applications

"C" Frame Module Features: (Figure 2) (Manual positioning)

• Cantilevered design for location at any web page
• Mounting provisions for custom adaptation to existing equipment or freestanding supports
• Left & right hand assemblies
• Heavy duty welded steel frame (premachined to accept optional field upgrades)
• Heavy duty, low profile linear bearing rails
• Stainless steel brake strip and cam action positioning brake
• Trim position range to 16" (less trim strip width)

Same features as manual module plus:

• Precision ball screw with preloaded angular contact bearing mounting
• Precision preloaded ball nut
• Stepper / servo motor ball screw drive suitable for remote manual or automated controls

Provides support for carriage modules with large positioning range requirements on web widths up to 123". (Required for positioning ranges greater than 16").
